Lou Rassey is CEO and co-founder of Fast Radius, Inc. and is a recognized leader and advisor on matters related to Industry 4.0, the future of manufacturing and global competitiveness.
Lou has established Fast Radius as a leading additive manufacturing solutions provider, supporting companies through design, industrial-grade manufacturing and global fulfillment. With a headquarters in Chicago, Lou is expanding partnerships and infrastructure to serve clients across the globe to embrace additive manufacturing to bring new products and business models to life, driven by the mission "to make new things possible to advance the human condition."
Lou helped set the strategy and 2015 launch of the Digital Design and Manufacturing Innovation Institute (DMDII) in Chicago, one of the new US national laboratories focused on advancing Industry 4.0. Earlier in his career, Lou also founded TRG, an industrial-tech focused advisory and investment firm, and spent the first chapter of his career as an engineer in the auto industry with Chrysler. Lou holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Notre Dame, a Masters of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Michigan – Dearborn, a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and an MBA from MIT Sloan where he was a Leaders for Manufacturing Fellow.
Lou lives in Chicago with his wife, Sarah, and three children.
